MR GRIDNIK BORCHURE
This project it required us to design a six-panel brochure that constructs a story around and displays the key aspects of a designer’s work to appeal to a contemporary design aware audience.
We were allocated a designer to research and construct your brochure around. Throughout this project, we started by researching the designer to develop an understanding of their practice and its place in twentieth-century design history. Then using that research to develop a narrative about the designer and their practice. By using visual language skills I was able to effectively tell the of Wim Crouwel's compelling story through a combination of type and image.
Wim Crouwel was a Dutch graphic designer and typographer known for his modernist, grid-based designs and minimalist style. He co-founded the design studio Total Design in 1963 and created several iconic typefaces, including New Alphabet, which embraced early digital technology. His work, especially for the Stedelijk Museum, has had a lasting influence on modern graphic design, emphasizing clarity and structure.
