ROOM 44

As part of my Communication Design Capstone Project, I undertook the full development of a comprehensive and refined design solution, responding directly to the requirements set out in my Design Brief.

This capstone provided the opportunity to fully engage with the design process—from identifying a real-world communication problem to researching, ideating, prototyping, and producing a final polished outcome. Every decision, from the smallest visual detail to the overarching brand narrative, was made with purpose and intention. This process allowed me to apply a wide range of skills developed THROUGHOUT my degree, including conceptual thinking, user-centered design, brand storytelling, and strategic communication.

Room 44 is an Art Deco-inspired bar located in Melbourne, blending the elegance and sophistication of the 1920s with modern twists on classic food and drink recipes. With stunning water views, the bar offers a unique experience that celebrates the glamour of the past while catering to contemporary tastes. Sponsored by DrinkWise, Room 44 is committed to promoting a healthier and more responsible drinking culture, aligning with its core values. By sourcing fresh, local ingredients and encouraging mindful drinking, Room 44 ensures that every visit is as thoughtful as it is memorable.
